I care because the houses of the living animals int he ocean are being destroyed and there are always those who catch the breeder animal or breeder fish in the ocean, thats why the marine life here in the Philippines is gradually being depleted, for example the Marine mammal Dugong or Dugong Dugon which are critically endangered here in the philippines as well as the Eretmochelys imbricata are critically endangered or hawskbill turtle. And the coral reefs we need to protect it because it has many functions of the oceans. Coral Reefs are importante for many different reasons aside from supposedlythe most diverse ecosystems on the planet they protect the coastlines from the damaging effects of wave and tropical storms they provide habitats and shelter for many marine organisms they are the source of nitrogen and other essential nutrients for marine food chains they help with nutrient recycling of the oceans . They are important because the fishing industry depends on coral reefs because many fish spawn there are juvinile fish spend time there before making their way out to the open sea. There are other importance of a healthy ecosystems because reducing biodiversity through the extinction of species inevitablyleads to the breakdown in ecosystem health and function. Healthy ecosystem are essential to provide us with natural resources, such as foods and drugs, And services we depend upon, such as recycling and purification of water and air, the creation of soil and the breakdown of pollutants
