Dear friends,

We continue to support Anexa Alfred Cunningham. Her mandate as a United Nations human rights expert has been renewed, but she is still unable to return to her ancestral territory due to a travel ban imposed by the Nicaraguan authorities in retaliation for her collaboration with the UN.

Two years ago, each of you signed our petition to have her case included in the UN Secretary-General's report on reprisals. The mention of a case in this report is the first step towards recognising that it is a case of reprisals and towards resolving it.

This year, we are once again asking for your help, not only for Anexa, but also for Loujain from Saudi Arabia, Kadar from Djibouti, and Mohamed from Egypt. These four human rights defenders face travel bans imposed by their respective governments for daring to speak to the UN. We want these bans lifted so that they can continue their important work in defence of human rights.
