Dedicate the second floor of the Andy Warhol museum to Bob Dylan
The Issue
The 1960’s, a moment in time when two men who repersented different spectrums of American culture came together and shaped culture forever. Andy Warhol, with his new colorful artistic pop style meeting with the folk protest song icon Bob Dylan. This moment in time shaped not only their lives but as sources close to both mention, Edie Sedgwick’s life as well. Their tour around Andy’s Factory changed them in different ways.
As the muesum is known to host rotating exhibits on their second floor, this would be a great exhibit to host. Talk about Dylan’s music how Edie influenced him to write his classic, “Like a rolling stone,” as well as shown the screen footage taken by Andy. This exhibit could show photographs of Dylan during this time and of course have videos of him performing during this era.
Both changed pop culture and together the influenced one another. This is a chance for the museum to host an exhibit worth seeing. It not only pays homage to Andy but shows his influence on others. Let’s make this happen!
