Krista Berardi inflammed many students' with her aggressive writing on a peaceful protest in Danbury.

She called the demonstration "bull$hit," the activists "dumb@$$e$," and circulated a myth that George Floyd's death "was a hoax."

Brewster's school board removed Mrs Berardi from her position on itself, however, the Carmel school district continues to employ her as an art teacher.

This is unacceptable. Krista Berardi has insulted young people, and has been given opportunity to apologize ; she did not. She has no right to teach our young people so long as she believes delusional conspiracies about current events.

We, the undersigned, demand that the Carmel School District

(1) immediately bar Krista Berardi from teaching in the CCSD

(2) implement mandatory anti-bias for all CCSD teachers, beginning with elementary and progressing to middle & high schools.
