Hello, my name is Andres Grosskopf I'm working with Brennan Hogan and Tyler Cedar, two of my teammates. Here, we can explain why overfishing is harmful to our environment and the rest of the planet, as well as how you can make a difference and put an end to overfishing. Overfishing occurs as humans capture too many fish at the same time, causing the fish to nearly cease to survive and making it difficult for the fish to reproduce and return to a normal population. Commercial fishing is typically conducted on large ships, where they catch a large number of fish by holding a large net in the water and then throwing the dead fish out into the water that are not wanted. Also, as kids from Florida, we enjoy being on the water all of the time, and overfishing is killing it for us. We all love the ocean, and I know a lot of other people who do as well. We are trying to get noticed by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation (FWC), The United States Coast Guard (USCG), and United States Navy because these corporations portal the intercostal and oceans of the United States and they would stop illegal vessels that are causing overfishing.
