ASUS has released the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Zenfone 3. Why they haven't done this for the Zenfone 2 only leads to one conclusion: ASUS only cares about the factory line revenue generation of their Zenfone 3! Although providing Android 7.0 Nougat for the Zenfone 2 would demonstrate a 'go the extra mile' attitude towards existing consumers, it is detrimental to their Zenfone 3 revenue generation agenda. All you customers who purchased shiny new Zenfone 2s a few months back, you can be sure that ASUS only wants you to buy a shiny new Zenfone 3. The hardware requirements for Android Nougat are irrefutably the same as Android Marshmallow.
