AGL ACCEPT PETITION AT THEIR AGM

Today AGL accepted this petition from community to close down the Camden Gas Project. Huge thanks to Daniel Robins from Lock the Gate Alliance for taking the petition into the AGM. At today's 2016 AGL AGM in Sydney Doug Jackson Executive General Manager, Group Operations at AGL Energy accepted Australian Mother's Against Gas' 10,000 name petition along with hundreds of printed comments from our supporters across Australia who want to see a fair go for Australian families living in AGL's Camden Gas Project. The large folder was presented to Mr Jackson immediately after the AGM proceedings. Mr Jackson agreed to accept the petition and get back to the Camden community with a schedule for the closure of the Camden Gas Project. Representatives from Australian Mothers Against Gas, Stop CSG Camden and CSG Free Western Sydey also talked with CEO Andy Vesey and Board member Belinda Hutchinson about our concerns with the Camden Gas Project.
