Zoos are facing financial difficulties due to a drop in visitors and face problems getting food for the animals. I am very concerned zoos are having to consider euthanasia of its animal's due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and the inability to generate funds to feed and keep them alive. Growing up I used to love visiting the zoo and learning about all the different species along with friends and family. I have a local zoo near to me  which is very popular and attracts visitors from across the country my kids love going and would be devastated should zoos be forced to close permanently and cease existence putting at risk many endangered species. I believe all zoos across the planet bring so much joy to millions of people each year and I dont think these amazing animals should become victims of our current situation. I believe we need to consider raising funds to support these zoos and also set up food banks to help them sustain a healthy lifestyle for all their animals. If we do not achieve this I fear we could lose all existence of zoos which would have a devastating effect for everyone. This will also have a huge impact on all staff who have a great passion for caring for these animals some of which have no doubt committed their whole life to caring and protecting them.
