Deem National and State Election days as legal paid holidays so that all citizens, regardless of socioeconomic status, will celebrate democracy by voting in their important elections.

Allowing for an unencumbered paid space of time for families not to worry about lost wages, nor extended family care for loved ones, permits people to organize their voting day, include all generations of their family in the voting process, and freely exercise their civic responsibility.

Early voting and absentee balloting have contributed to a successful, and increased, population participation in our national 2020 presidential election. Including a National and State Election Day as a legal paid holiday will add to such provisions already in place.
