Every emergency that requires a first-responder is chaotic, at times traumatic, and in need of a responder with good judgment, experience, and skill. When the person or persons in distress are on the autism spectrum, these events can be quite unpredictable and challenging. In the interest of helping first-responders better assist those with autism and protect citizens with special needs, we are advocating for New York Assembly Bill # A09634, NY Senate Bill S07598.

Our New York first responders are some of the most professional in the world. They can become even better with formal training on how to handle victims and subjects with autism. Let's help them save even more lives and protect our special needs citizens!
