We’ve worked too god damn hard over the last two weeks doing distance learning, trying to keep pace with our teaching even though we can’t physically be in the classroom. Not to mention that it has become more tedious and in some cases the work load has increased to make up for not being in person. Spring break was one of the only lights at the end of the tunnel for most of us. Now, the state wants to take that away, and continue to carry out school as they would if there was no spring break. With the current situation of mandatory quarantine around the clock, students are suffering even more from emotional and mental distress and exhaustion, and by taking away our spring break it will not only exponentially increase this, but also cause the quality of students school work to drop significantly. We need this break, because for the most of us, it’s the only hope we had left in a world that everything else is uncertain and frightful.
