Expand access[ibility] to, at and from the Lorimer St L-Metropolitan Av G station complex.

The Issue

In 2016, the Lorimer St L-Metropolitan Av G station complex was the second busiest station in Williamsburg serving 5.1 million riders, yet the station complex continues to be plagued by access[ibility] issues due to a lack of elevators, a closed entrance and six closed street staircases. The most obvious negative impact of reduced access is lengthened commute times. This will become more problematic if no action is taken before the L Train shutdown in April 2019.

We, the undersigned, request that the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) make the Lorimer St L-Metropolitan Av G station fully ADA accessible and reopen all closed entrances at the station before the L Train shutdown.
