IMPORTANT! Now we need your help

We have the attention of the original sponsors of the bill, as well as several other lawmakers. We have spread the word among artists and enthusiasts all over NYS and beyond. Updates are currently being worked on. NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP. The thing people need to understand about this bill is that it is ALREADY PASSED. Once passed, a bill can only be changed by an amendment. Amendments need to be VOTED on. Lawmakers will be the ones voting. The more informed they are about our plight, the less they have to think before voting yes. Lets load them with the right information on a local level so they can make the right decisions for us. They made the mistake of not getting our input, now we need to make sure they get it. I encourage everyone to call, email, mail, and make appointments with their local lawmakers. Calling disrupts the flow of their offices, so that can be helpful. Contact the local news. Make a lot of NOISE, but be professional and informative. I will put up a form letter tomorrow, but feel free to use the letter attached to this petition, or elaborate on your own. The restrictions on this bill are unnecessary, inconvenient, and will result in cost and logistics measure that could cause small businesses to suffer. It does not benefit clients. It does not support the growing industry. It does not stop those who are already not following proper procedures from continuing to do so, it merely seeks to punish those who are doing things right. Make sure your local Senators and Assemblymen know this! Take action!
