Separate Therapeutic Massage therapy, Medical Massage therapy, Osteopathic Manual Therapy from Spas, from Nails Salons, from massage parlors(which arent even legal, do they even exist anymore? i thought they were called Foot Spas now!).   

LETS EDUCATE OUR GOVT OFFICIALS!

Even though Massage therapy as a profession is one of the oldest forms of medicine recorded, it is still, since the 1920's, fighting to regain its acceptance in the healthcare and medical field.   After the recent global pandemic of Covid-19, it is more evident that we, as a society and medical professionals, need to stand up.  

According to Governor Cuomo, and other government officials, Massage therapy is not being recognizing under any phase of the reopening.  Massage therapists are not only medical professionals, we are Essential to our clients and community. We provide healthy, essential therapy to people who deal with chronic pain. People who are trying to prevent surgery, or just recently had surgery. We provide therapy for people who are immunosuppressed, people who's diseases or ailments prevent them from seeking other therapies, or other forms of therapy just did not work.
