Save the Anderson, SC Confederate monument

The Issue

Anderson's Confederate monument honors the sacrifices of its residents of all races in defending their homes, their families and their wholesome Southern identity from Federal assault during the War Between The States.

As the city and county are named for militiaman Robert Anderson -- veteran of the Battle of Cowpens in the Revolution -- the Monument sends a powerful message about freedom and self-determination in the face of brutal tyranny.

Lincoln's forces had the seal of approval from the father of Communism: Karl Marx himself supported the Union's aggressions in articles in the New York Daily Tribune in the 1860s. What further proof could there be that we have been lied to about one of the most important chapters of American history?

It is also a lie that Confederate symbols are racist or promote slavery. They simply stand for the South at a time when demagogues are whipping up hatred against her for her distinctive history and way of life. These are admired throughout the world -- a culture of liberty hated by tyrants and terrorists today as back then.

As for the Union's moral imperative about slavery etc., it was rankest hypocrisy: slavenorth dot com has the shocking facts.
