A few weeks ago, Anderson County school district decided that it was a good idea to do away with snow days and instead have e-learning courses. The only thing this will achieve is for students to get more stressed out and have yet another classic childhood moment ripped from their memories, no wonder suicide levels are as high as they are. 

Plus, it discriminates even further between people with money, and people without. What if a student didn't have a computer at home, then what? They fail? It's not like they can drive to a library with snow on the ground, I live in North Carolina, and when there's even a little snow on the ground, everything's shut down, I know for a fact South Carolina is no different. Also, the school might say they'll give them computers, but more likely then not, students don't have wifi, or the wifi won't work, which would mean they would have to do it in school when the snow's gone, adding more work then they already have, which is already more work then necessary.

As a student, this would be absolutely devastating, I would feel like my childhood was gone, it's already so much harder now then it was for our parents, at least now we have the technology to speak up for ourselves, so please Anderson County, don't destroy our childhoods. And please vote for Anderson County to realize their mistake and lift this terrible ban that will dictate lives and possibly cause deaths that could have been prevented.
