I have heard that The City of Duncan and various insurance companies claim that the tree would be a hazard to the safety of the area.

Common tactic I understand to justify the destruction of a life, though local senior arborist also claim the opposite is true.  See previous article below.   But they promise they will plant (probably in cement boxes) more trees.

I also heard that prior to his passing in 2021 Walt Punnett whom lived next door also worked towards trying to save this tree.  Seems like this has been going on for sometime.  Wonder how much money is involved here...

Please continue to put pressure on the city of Duncan.  The tree is for now still there.
