Hi Cash Lovers, 

Because of our campaign and the millions of Australians who trust and rely on cash everyday, the government is now planning to mandate cash acceptance in Australia.

Time is running out for you to have your say and make a submission to the government's Mandating Cash Acceptance consultation paper which considers:

• the needs of those who rely on cash
• the mandate’s scope and application
• how to promote compliance
• cash distribution and access.

It's easy to make a submission. Just write an email to:

CashAcceptanceConsultation@treasury.gov.au

Please tell the government that ALL RETAILERS MUST ACCEPT CASH otherwise the mandate won't work.

Cash has to be freely circulating. There needs to be notes in pockets and change in tills for the system to be viable.
