Dear Cash Lovers, 

Together we are winning the war on cash.

Banks have been trying to push us towards a cashless society for years but Australians are resisting strongly.

The Reserve Bank reports that the value of notes on issue in Australia is not falling but remaining at historically high levels.

Last week there was $103.7 million worth of Australian cash notes circulating in the community. That's UP around $3 billion since October. 

The all-time record for Australian cash on issue is $103.99 billion set in December 2022. 

While the banks and others try to tell us the cashless society is almost here, Australians are continuing to back cash.

Banks need to ensure we can access cash.

Retailers need to accept cash.

Government needs to mandate cash acceptance and access.

In 2025, I'm going to be working hard to ensure our voice is heard. We have a right to choose how we pay. It's written on the banknote itself.

"Legal Tender throughout Australia" means we have a right to pay with cash.
