Hi Cash Lovers,
Today Prime Minister Anthony Albanese posted a short video of himself explaining his card surcharge ban.
"This flat white cost $5 and this one cost $5.10," says the PM who then explains the second one was paid for with a card and attracted a surcharge.
"It's just not fair," says the PM.
Actually it is fair for card users to pay for their own costs, including their benefits (like free flights).
Under the Albanese ban on card surcharging, EVERYONE will pay more for coffee and all other items, because the costs of the card surcharge will not disappear, they'll be hidden in the prices.
Anthony Albanese will pay $5.10 for his coffee, under his own plan, whether he pays with cash or card.
How is that fair?
Let's say no to Albo's ban on card surcharging.
Yours sincerely,
Jason Bryce
