While many students welcome the additional week of spring break and online courses to ensure our studies are not affected, a number of questions remain about Penn's response to COVID-19. Any unexpected large announcement raises new questions, and with this petition we ask for guidance on some large outstanding issues within the next few days. Below are several important questions yet to be answered:

1. How will the University send important items like clothes, books, class notes, and medications to students who live in college housing but left the school for spring break? Will they be shipped in a timely manner? Who bears the cost of shipping?

2. Will professors and/or the University release online versions of textbooks for students unable to access their dorms?

3. Are students expected to come back to campus once the coronavirus epidemic passes?

4. Will the University bear the cost of flight cancellations or postponements to students either on or off financial aid?

5. What is the impact towards students currently funding their education in part through work-study?

Many more questions are left to be answered as well. We thank the University for paying attention to students' concerns and hope to hear back with information in the coming days.
