As I used to work with GG prior Mayor Bruce Broadwater in the Korean community I know you folks are capable leaders !
My mom (95 yrs old, suffered nerve pain) has a house in Garden Grove (7782 Laurelton) . .
Beginning 2018 (Feb) Church endorsed Big-Love program to co-sign (lease signed by Church, follower & landlord) a single room to settle a church follower till Jan 2020 church Bishop Solomon came by house (7782) verbally terminated the BigLove lease, landlord therefore executed the termination process on the same Jan date & notified follower tenant to vacate the room before Mar 2020 (60 days notice). Jan 2020 is far from part of COVID-19 rules .
The said follower (& 2,3 extra roommates) continue illegally occupied & live in the room since March (2020). After numerous communication with church, Bishop Solomon came meeting (with landlord family, tenant & church director Kurt) on 7/19/2020, paid overdue 5 rent payments (Mar,APR,MAY,Jun,July) and asked the tenant to move out on or before 8/20 (tenant agreed Bishop direction) . Yet, the follower did not move ! nothing happened till this date (maybe more endless days to come !) Church has abandoned the Big-Love and Bishop suggests to go legal ways to protect justice
My mom is very old , I don't want to bother her for too many troubles ! I plan to press legal charges against the church who abandoned the Big-Love and verbally breached the agreement. This case hurts local community trust toward Big-Love and faith in trusting church power . The landlord family who shared the goodwill mission becomes victimized
especially the land-old lady who suffered nerve pains from random (24X7) noisy disturbing sounds from the tenant room .
I have called a few old friends (lawyers) and no volunteers. I can pay a few thousand dollars to compensate initial works .the key is the volunteer probono lawyers need to press charges against church (& bishops, directors, LDS saints & follower) and get paid from church (when court order follower to evict the occupied room and church to pay plaintiff attorney fees and punitive damages !) . Maybe a young, restless lawyer can help to get justice on this case ! As of 6/19/2022 161,600+ Petition viewers & the victimized Amy family waiting LDS church to show Big-Love leadership on this case.
