Amnesty-USA has been pushing the NATO and U.S. State Dept. narrative that war in Afghanistan has meant "progress" for Afghan women and girls. Executive Director Suzanne Nossel worked at the State Dept. for years and invited Madeleine Albright to be part of a shadow summit during the NATO summit in Chicago May, 2012. She continues to defend Amnesty-USA's position on Afghan women, as well as other State Dept. positions. She has no business heading up a human rights organization.
