Kiyoumars Latifi, son of Mohammad, birth date: 1980, from Sanandaj city in Kurdistan Province in Iran, has been arrested by the Intelligence and Security Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran on 15. February 2022, during a raid on his house in Sanandaj.
Until now, there has not even been an answer to the basic question: why was he arrested? The Intelligence and Security Forces of Iran in Sanandaj are just pressuring his Family instead of answering. Also, by the arrest, the Intelligence and Security Forces of Iran, arrested Kiyoumars Latifi without a warrant from Court. Latifi’s Family knows now, that they have transferred Kaiumars to a security detention center in Sanandaj City.
Kiyoumars Latifi, has had another arrest on his rap sheet. In September of 2019, he was arrested with the same accusation and released on bail on December 26 of that year. Therefore, his life is really in danger, and it’s indeed needed to an immediate action of help.
Simultaneously, security forces also searched the house of the activist’s sister, Arezou Latifi. She fainted and was taken to the hospital due to the psychological pressures caused by the raid on her house.
The Intelligence and security forces of Iran in Sannandaj city, also have threatened Arezu, Mahtab, and Haiat Latifi the sisters of Kaiumars Latifi with sexual assault.
During the past days and after Kiyoumars’s arrest, Farid Ltifi who lives now in Germany, has been threatened to death several times by unknown persons through SMS.
Kiyoumars Latifi is a civil rights activist and a former member of the Mowlavi Association in Sanandaj. He has been active in teaching the Kurdish language.
About 850 million Tomans of Latifi’s Family have been blocked in Banks.
