To whom it may concern,

I am writing this petition on behalf of all my fellow first year students who are very much willing to join college offline as soon as possible. As you all may know that its been months since all of us have been stuck at home due to the pandemic and its been hard for all of us to cope with the situation. Recently, A news came from Lady Sri Ram College of University of Delhi that a student had committed suicide due to the mental effect of this pandemic and the 'Online Classes'. This is not the only story, a recent survey conducted in the same college found that 96% of the total students are facing mental issues due to online classes.

Apart from this, various other reasons can also be listed which are of great concern as well:

1. The online infrastructure in India is not as much developed as it should be to conduct classes online and many of us face connectivity issues frequently.

2.Online mode of interaction is highly inefficient and students are in desperate need of practical knowledge.

3.We understand the Covid condition but we can not deny the fact that this is killing our future and we are missing out on a lot of things that we should be doing. Moreover, the majority of us have been double vaccinated.

4.Many of the colleges in the NCR itself have been opened for first year students already since a long time and we want the same for us too.

5. Some of us do not get the proper environment for studying at home which makes it extremely inconvenient and ineffective. In the long run, students may also fall into the trap of depression, anxiety, and stress like I stated before.

As a conclusion, we would want the university to allow us the privilege to be able to attend college offline OR Students should be provided with the option of both online and offline mode of classes to choose from as per their convenience.
