Amey Plc are the Council contractors who maintain the open spaces in Kingsway. Kingsway has one of the last hedgehog populations in the UK. They are vulnerable to extinction and we need to do all we can to protect their habitat.

Providing areas of long grass is ideal hedgehog habitat. Leaving these untouched will ensure any hedgehogs nesting in the grass are safe from mowers or strimmers which can kill or seriously injure hedgehogs.
