The FM singal 105.1 recently changed into a top 40, 90s-NOW station. This signal is fairly strong and reached a wide broadcast area. Those of us who lack a good alternative rock station relied upon this station for alternative rock music. Since the sound of station changed, folks north of the Ames/Des Moines area no longer have a good alternative rock station. While we understand that we can listen online or on IHeart Radio, it's not the same as having the signal on our radios. That, and not everyone has a smart phone or the internet and so listening through an app is not a possibility.
