American University has decided to take our spring break away for the spring 2021 semester. Being online has already had several negative impacts on our mental and physical health. Whether it is from Zoom fatigue, staring at screens for countless hours, and the excessive workload, we NEED a break. Spring break is when we can catch up on sleep, relax, and take care of our overall well-being. All of us are under immense levels of stress due to our current situations, and taking away a break that is absolutely necessary for both students and professors is not right.
