A quick glance at the Liberian flag is enough to remind anyone that this country’s ties to the United States are unlike any other country in the world. 

1) Liberia is working to repair its healthcare system but is starting with zero anesthesiologists.

2) The Liberian Healthsystem is hampered in developing surgeons, obstetricians, intensive care and assuring safe surgical care in the absence of anesthesiology physicians.

3) People, especially pregnant mothers and children are needlessly suffering because of the healthcare disparity.  

4) The surgical mortality rate in Liberia is extremely high.

Send a message to potential supporters. Petition for a government-sponsored anesthesiology residency program that will improve safe surgical care, improve maternal and child surgical survival and help Liberia develop a complete healthcare system.
