American Protection Act (APA)
The Issue
I, Kateryna , Ph.D. in Law, a proud Ukrainian American and U.S. citizen since 2018, am calling on Congress and the President of the United States to pass the American Protection Act.
Too many innocent lives have been lost because violent repeat offenders are released back into our communities due to loopholes in state laws, bail reforms, or judicial discretion. Time and time again, dangerous criminals with long histories of violence are allowed back onto our streets — only to harm again. This must end.
The American Protection Act would create a uniform national rule:
Three violent felony convictions = automatic federal jurisdiction.
No bail, no bond, no release for offenders who reach this threshold.
Mandatory federal sentencing with no parole for repeat violent criminals.
No state law or judge could override this federal protection.
The United States government was founded on the promise of protecting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. When violent criminals are allowed to walk free again and again, those rights are stripped away from victims, families, and entire communities.
It is time for the federal government to step in and protect Americans everywhere — regardless of what state they live in.
Our Demands
1. That Congress immediately introduce and pass the American Protection Act.
2. That the President of the United States publicly support this legislation.
3. That repeat violent offenders with three or more violent felony convictions never again walk free on technicalities, local reforms, or weak bail laws.
Closing
As an immigrant who came to this country seeking freedom and justice, I cannot stay silent while Americans continue to lose their lives at the hands of repeat violent offenders. I love this country. I am proud to be American. And I believe we deserve a justice system that protects victims first.
Please join me in demanding that Congress pass the American Protection Act and finally put an end to the revolving door of violent crime.
