People are trying to take away our name as the Antioch Sequoits. This is a counter to their petition which is attempting to take it away. Make sure our name doesn't change because it quite literally has nothing to do with cultural appropriation and the people who think it does are simply lacking in intellect. Our school has been known as the Sequoits for over a hundred years, the word "sequoit" doesn't have any ties to any Native American tribe, and therefore cannot be racist or cultural appropriation. Our logo is a symbol of our school and it's history, don't let them take it away!
