American Girl is a company made for American Girls. American Girls come in all shapes and sizes, they have different eye colors and hair colors, and religions and customs. For 15 years American Girl has never made a Girl of The Year full ethnic doll. Jess McConnell GOTY 2006 half Japanese and Half Scottish/Irish. Kanani Akina GOTY 2011 half Japanese/Hawaiian and half French/German. Sonali Matthews best friend of Chrissa Maxwell GOTY 2009 had no spotlight. She wasn't a main character with a story. She was Indian and debate rises up for that too for her last name is European. Marisol Luna was the only full ethnic doll AG has ever released she was Latina. However that was in 2005 which was 10 years ago. It's time for a change. It's time for American Girl to release a ethnic doll for their Girl of The Year line. And it's not just that. when it comes to advertising American Girl almost never advertise the ethnic dolls they do have and they show ethnic girls in commericals or magazines. That is why Cecile and  Marie-Grace Historicals of 1853 were retired. They didn't have a good start barely anything or litle to no advertisment only when they were about to retire was when they truly showed them respect for their amazing story that me and many girls loved. Me and many other girls and boys refuse to keep quiet for any reason, we refuse to let American Girl continue the pattern.
