The changes made to the dolls at American Girl Brand are unacceptable. The new eyes being released from Nanea, Luciana, the Create Your Own line and now virtually all new batch Be Forever and Truly Me dolls are cheap, have a downcast gaze, are often set incorrectly and are visually less aesthetically pleasing. The new vinyl is squishy and more easily stained or scuffed. The hair quality is  thin often showing the wig cap beneath or glued improperly. The fabric body is more easily torn, ripped, pills and loses shape quickly. 

The quality of these dolls, while still at the same price, is unacceptable. Consumers and collectors are beginning to turn away from the brand in favor of another or created a full stop on adding to their collection. A continual sales decrease could sink the brand we love that has spanned generations.
