Overall, Purpose of this petition is to bring awareness to our lawmakers in Congress that currently both American Citizens and Permenant Residents are struggling with the current process of immigrating immediate relatives to the United States. Right now, the processing times from submission of application to the time the immediate relative actually immigrates to the United States is quite long and puts strain on both sides; the intending immigrant and the American who is petitioning them. Often it feels as though both the petitioner and the beneficiary of the petition puts their lives on hold in hopes of being accepted and immigrating to the United States. 

The Alvarez Law Group ( an Immigration Law Firm) in conjuction with other lawyers have come together to write a bill to present to congress to help in this process. To speed up the process as a whole in an effort to support legal immigration and unify American families with their loved ones.
