American Electric Power Gives Away Customer Money

The Issue

American Electric Power is an electrical company in Southwest Virginia that has long been overcharging customers. Recently, customers have been charged heavily during the past few months with no explanation of fees. American Electric Power gave away $50,000 to Appalachian School of Law during this time. Not only that, but $250,000 went to Bluefield College. Customers are tired of our money being stolen, then given away to make AEP look good. We want options for our electrical power in our area, not a monopoly such as AEP.
