ACLU: Revoke your title of Ambassador for Women's Rights from Amber Heard!

ACLU: Revoke your title of Ambassador for Women's Rights from Amber Heard!
The Issue
Late in 2018, the American Civil Liberties Union accepted half of Amber Heard's $7 million divorce settlement from her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, and made her their "Ambassador for Women's Issues."
That was based on Heard's accusations against her husband at the time, that he had abused her, both physically and emotionally. However, it has since come out that she has ADMITTED to doing the same to him. Depp has also provided evidence that her physical abuse of him was severe, costing him the tip of one of his fingers.
It is unconscionable to have a domestic abuser like Amber Heard—who tried to claim unilateral victim status, only to be revealed later on to have admitted to being an abuser—lecturing others on the harms of domestic and intimate partner violence. This sets a terrible example for the public, and sends the message that abusers who are victims themselves are blameless, even after they try to cover up their own half of the abusive relationship.
We demand that you revoke her status as your Ambassador immediately and award it to someone more deserving of the title. Keeping her on in this capacity is an affront to abuse victims of all genders, and a disservice to the cause of not only women's rights but gender equality overall!
