As far as attendance points being removed especially during covid times, positive space traveling for commuters and extra pay during the holidays, Customer Service and Customer Assistance employees deserve the same treatment from American Airlines as inflight crew. All we ask for is equality when dishing out incentives to come to work during the rough holiday season ahead of us. If you're going to give crew members such incentives, you should do the same for Customer Service and Customer Assistance. We ALL work hard and have worked hard during these trying times despite covid and deserve fairness when decisions like this are made. Right now morale for Customer Care and Customer Assistance is down. We just want equality and fairness.
Customer Care is the first face our passengers see. They have been subject to a steep learning curve teaching our new passengers how to fly.
Many do not accept the information and often lash out, hurl epithets and even physical harm.
These are the actual front line team members who should get incentives. Many of us have suffered stress and anxiety from new passengers, suffered wrath and therefore spent hours on the phone with EAP (Employee Assistance Program) as well as our friends and family. Thank you.
