It is perplexing for fans and viewers to witness drivers gaining a significant advantage due to sudden and unexpected red flags, circumstances beyond driver control. This unexpectedly changes the complexion of races, setting some drivers back while propelling others forward unfairly.

One such aspect of the sport that warrants attention is the obligation for drivers to make a mandatory pit stop during sessions, a rule that stands unaffected even under red flag conditions. This rule indirectly penalizes drivers who had strategically made their pit stop before a red flag was shown, putting them at an unfair disadvantage.
