Despite South Korea's 2023 Animal Protection Act revision, weak enforcement and insufficient leash length regulations allow the cruel practice of lifelong tethering to persist, leaving countless "rural dogs" vulnerable to horrific deaths during disasters like recent wildfires. This systemic failure, which severely tarnishes South Korea's international standing, demands immediate action: a total ban on lifelong tethering, strengthened animal protection laws with harsher penalties, and mandatory disaster evacuation protocols that ensure the safe removal of all companion animals. We urge South Korea's Sister Cities and States to advocate for these vital reforms, as the world watches for lasting change.

Survived the Inferno: Support Charles’s Fight for Healing and Justice! 💔✊

Charles, formerly Cheolsu, is fighting for his life in intensive care after miraculously surviving a wildfire that claimed his companion. He suffered horrific, full-body burns, including injuries inside his mouth and to his respiratory system, enduring blood transfusions and surgery to remove burnt tissue. Despite his critical condition, Charles's incredible will to live shines through as he makes good progress in recovery, remaining remarkably positive.

His harrowing story underscores the urgent need to protect chained animals during disasters. Please consider supporting Charles's recovery and joining the fight for stronger animal protection laws.

CARE: Urgent Food Needed! Please Feed Animals Rescued from Wildfire 🐶🥣

CARE has rescued over 40 animals from the recent wildfire disaster, and rescue requests are still pouring in. This is the largest number of animals saved by a single organization without major portal site funding. Many of these brave animals have severe burns, and most of the rescued dogs are infected with heartworm, eyeworm, and anaplasmosis.

Significant funding is urgently needed for these medium to large-sized dogs until they are discharged and find their forever homes. The sudden influx of animals also presents major concerns regarding the costs of their living spaces and food.

Please consider donating to help feed these wildfire-rescued dogs. CARE relies entirely on the generosity of our supporters to purchase and supply all the necessary food. Thank you for your compassion and generosity!
