Preston Park Avenue is a quiet residential street running parallel to Preston Park in Brighton, yet traffic frequently enters it at over 40mph. The speed restriction is 20mph, and it is a road with a sole pavement, yet there is no traffic calming or speed cameras in place. Children, families and many of the older residences who inhabit what should be peaceful street are at the risk of reckless and speeding traffic, who tear of the A23 - a major entry point into Brighton. Help us to petition the council and police to enforce the speed limit by providing cameras or traffic calming measures- speed bumps or road narrowing. All it would take is one small person running carefreely from the park into the path of a speeding vehicle to prove how dangerous this junction is. Let's make that not be the case!
