We need our elected officials to represent the citizens that help elect them.

          As constituents in your districts that voted for you, we would like you to help protect the rights of home owners like myself and hundreds of others along Poor House Road and West Creek Road, that are having their safety, as well as the safety of our loved ones; our home and land value decreased, and the rural lifestyle we loved threatened if not eliminated.

          Due to recent government financial incentives for “green energy,” the growth of “Solar Farms” has exploded within the last 10 years. We have seen these projects pop up in Powhatan, Cumberland and even in our own backyard at Genito and Grub Hill Church Road.  Yet, the largest, the most dangerous and most intrusive project is set to take place: 1,700 acres of solar energy systems.

This Solar Farm is going to be constructed between West Creek Road and Poor House Road as two of it's borders, impacting each and every individual, their families, their land, homes, and the value of those.  It will bring unwanted noise, light pollution and give us an unwelcomed industrial viewscape.
