Stop it ceasing services on the 17th of December
The Issue
Ameba Pico World has been running since 2010; it's an extremely popular game, has had collaborations with Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid), TokiDoki && Cherrybelle. They bring in thousands of pounds per year from the in-game currency - Ameba Gold. Surely they're not going to use funding as an excuse.
Pico are saying they're closing because of ''limited developer resources''.
It's unacceptable for Ameba Pico Virtual World to close without so much as an explanation as to what this actually means. At the very least, we need a proper explanation for why they are closing at such short notice. Ameba Pico has cheated users out of their hard earned money to pay for Ameba Gold, and now they're announcing they'll be closing in under 2 months. How is this fair, I ask you. Hundreds of users have recently purchased Ameba Gold, under the charade that they will be able to purchase more, to spend more, and to save it up for a later date, and to generally continue their happy Pico lives. As a game that hasn't even celebrated it's 3rd anniversary yet, it's still very much in it's prime.
We, the undersigned, demand an explanation as to why Pico is closing, and are protesting against it's closing in December, 2012.
