Starting in Season 5, Ross Marquand has been on the AMC zombie horror series “The Walking Dead” as Aaron, a gay survivor of the zombie apocalypse. He had a boyfriend on the show until he was killed off the show in season 8. In season 6, Tom Payne was cast in the show as Paul “Jesus” Rovia, but was also tragically killed of the show in season 9. The Walking Dead is based on a comic book series of the same name, and in the comics, Aaron and Jesus were a romantic couple, but on the show they never were a romantic couple, just friends! That’s because TWD’s showrunner Angela Kang never honored the show’s source material by making them a couple, and Jesus’ portrayer Tom Payne was never comfortable with the idea of Aaron and Jesus as a couple! Aaron is currently without a love interest on the show! TWD has two lesbian characters on the show, but that’s not enough LGBTQ representation on the show! If they are straight romantic couples on TWD, why can’t there be gay couples on the show too? Please sign this petition to convince AMC, TWD showrunner/executive producer Angela Kang, and its other EPs Gale Anne Hurd and Scott Gimple to cast an actor to play a gay male love interest for Aaron, along with adding other LGBTQ actors/characters on TWD!
