Students are getting suspended for bring mace to school, after walking, driving, etc. Students state they are willing to leave the mace in the office but need it to go home because they feel unsafe. Staff gives no care, or sympathy as they harshly judge and punish. As a student I want to create a reasonable solution. 
Students can bring the mace to the front office in the mornings and have a tag system. Leaving their name and receiving a ticket. Coming back at the end of the school day, and exchanging their ticket for their mace. 
Students need to be able to protect themselves from pedophiles, kidnappers, and murders all of which are unfortunately living in our area.
