Send the parrots at the Park Slope Laundry Corp to a bird sanctuary

The Issue

Two beautiful, intelligent parrots have been kept in a tiny, filthy cage at the Park Slope Laundry Corp on 4th Ave and 13th Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY for roughly 7 years.  They are chained to the front of the building, in the elements, with no shade and often no food.  I've seen nothing but husks from sunflower seeds in their cage on numerous occasions - while a good snack for parrots, they should not be surviving solely on sunflower seeds.  They've also been out of water frequently.  The employees are not tasked with taking care of them so they sit outside, chained in their prison cell, until the owner comes back at 7:30 at night to collect his money.

These birds deserve to live the next 70 years of their lives at a bird sanctuary, with room to fly and move as well as be well kept and fed, rather than in a state of neglect in a tiny prison cell.

Sign this petition urging the owner to let us take the birds to a sanctuary.
