We the undersigned express severe concern at the government's announcement that it intends to abandon its pledge to take 3,000 child refugees from Syria.

That Britain has only taken 350 child refugees so far under the scheme while many hundreds of thousands remain destitute is pitiful, but the announcement that no more be taken is an outrage. Britain has taken a tiny proportion of Syrian refugees compared to other European countries and under current proposals this defecit is set to worsen.

We demand that the Dubs amendment is enacted and that the government makes immediate steps to take child refugees from Syria.
