Rebuilding the Pride of Kenya Shujaa Rugby Team by incorporating the Senior Players

The Issue

The Kenya Rugby Sevens team has always been a pride to rugby fanatics in Kenya and across the globe. Our past glory has given us recognition as a formidable rugby powerhouse with spectacular players like @CollinsInjera @WillyLomuAmbaka @OscarOuma @NelsonOyoo and many more who have been at the centre stage of the HSBC SEVENS SERIES.

The current stalemate between the senior Kenya 7s players and the KenyaRugbyUnion has really caused a stir to the overall performance of the Shujaa team. The upcoming young talents have grappled with stepping up, managing the pressure and taking over from where the big boys left at. This has injured our position in this loved game and right now we are hovering around the relegation zone. Irrespective of previous mediocre perfomances, we have never stooped this low as we now hang by a cleft-stick on the edge of the cliff. A little mistake and we shall be at the bottom of the table which attracts repercussions of being relegated.

As an ardent rugby fan/player/supporter or name it however you like it, i wouldn't wanna see Kenyan go down this road, let us make a plea to His Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta, the enigma @RailaOdinga and Ambassador Amina Mohamed, please come and save the sport that we love from not going to the gallows, come in with speed and provide direction to the Rugby Union as it lacks wit on how to take this sport to the next level that we have always dreamt and anticipated for.

As a parting shot, I still believe there is hope in saving us from being drowned by this humongous monster called "Relegation" and the only pathway to this is through dialogue, dialogue between the senior players, government authorities and Kenya rugby union.

Guys, please help me by signing this petition and share it to as many rugby fans as possible so that we reach the message to the relevant authorities. Thank you and be positive- we shall walk through this together Kenya Shujaa rugby fans
