The future of Stargate on Amazon just became a little more clear thanks to an interview Rolland Emmerich gave following the worldwide release of his new film Moonfall. Emmerich has made his name for himself over the past 25 years in the disaster movie category with huge blockbusters like Independence Day 1 and 2, Godzilla, The Day after Tomorrow and most recently Moonfall. But in 1994, the little known director made a big splash with a low anticipated science fiction movie called Stargate.
