Amazon donates money to organizations promoting anti-vaccine and other healthcare misinformation through the Amazon Smile program. This program donates 0.5% of purchases to a charity of the customer's choice. Amazon has previously removed charities from this program that promote "intolerance, hate, terrorism, violence, money laundering, or other illegal activities", but their policy does not cover organizations that spread dangerous misinformation.

Several of the participating US non-profits that exist solely to promote vaccine and healthcare misinformation, including COVID denial and anti-mask sentiment. These organizations are actively contributing to increasing the death count in this global pandemic, and raising unsubstantiated fears about healthcare initiatives, including vaccines, which could help end it. These organizations include:
