The refugee crisis has sent shockwaves around the world. Harrowing images of drowned children have finally made people act. People who care have been organising aid and donating where they can. But it is often difficult to get to donation points and the power of individuals is, although critical, relatively small and uncoordinated.

I'd like to ask Amazon to make use of their existing infrastructure to help deliver our donations - we order the aid from Amazon's 'everything store' and they deliver it to appropriate warehouses for charities helping the refugees to access. Amazon have everything they need to get help where it is desperately needed quickly and efficiently.

Uber have demonstrated the impact a big corporation can make with their announcement of how they will help the refugees: http://newsroom.uber.com/london/2015/09/london-giving/ If other big companies have stepped up and offered help where they can, so why not Amazon?

History will judge us for turning our backs while people drowned. The message not to turn your back when thousands of people need you is just as important for companies such as Amazon as it is for your friends, family and neighbours. If we all pull together I believe we really can make a change.
